The Braveathon is our annual fundraising event. For 15 hours we are joined by 15 bands playing LIVE! from our studios! We bring the best local bands to your ears, and hope that in return you can give us your support.

Brave New Radio also has several rare and unique items we auction off throughout the day, including autographed posters, limited edition T-shirts, concert tickets, etc. All proceeds go directly to WPSC so we can continue bringing our listeners quality programming and great alternative music.

Not only do we give our listeners awesome live and local music, but every year, as part of the Braveathon, we salute one individual or organization that has demonstrated true bravery. We call this the Bravery in Radio Award.

Our inaugural Braveathon in 2009 was a great success. Our Bravery in Radio Award was bestowed upon Les Paul for the pioneering radio show he did with Mary Ford, The Les Paul Show, which ran on NBC radio in 1950. This was the last award Les Paul received before his untimely death in August 2009. Over the course of 15 hours, we were joined by Dead By Wednesday, Bern and the Brights, Tiger Scout, One Short Fall, The Eighth Sea and Jamie Gerard just to name a few. And we’ve got an even better Braveathon planned for 2010!
